The current project considers English titles - new creations or translations - that will be published entirely at the publisher's expense and entered into the international distribution system. Applications and materials proposed for publication will be collected during 2011 adn 2012.

   How the project works
   After you register as an author and submit your finished proposed material, the editorial team will evaluate the proposed title with regard to subject, content, English fluency, and market potential. Accepted titles will first be published in an electronic format (ebook). After we observe sales of the ebook edition for three consecutive months, we then move to production of the classical edition. The books are assigned an ISBN code and the Infarom imprint and are placed in the global distribution system, which includes top distributors such as Ingram Book Group, Baker & Taylor, Garners, Bertrams, and Follet, as well as top retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Powells.     Participation requirements
   The main requirement for participation in this project is a high level of fluency in spoken and written English, because only works whose English is very close to the native level will be accepted. To apply for this project, you must hold one of the following qualifications:
   - author/translator with philological studies of English and with a high level of fluency in written and spoken English;
   - author/translator with college/university studies who has maintained residency for minimum of two years in an English-speaking country and holds a high level of competency in written and spoken English;
   - author who hires a person in one of the two situations above for translating his/her work; in this case, you have to provide us with the resumé of your translator.

   Requirements for the proposed titles
   You may propose for publication English-written titles, whether your own creations or translations of other works having their author rights in the public domain, regardless the original language. For translations, you must first research the status of the work's author rights. (More details about the public domain of the author rights can be found in the Resources page.) The titles that have priority for selection, publication, and marketing are those in a non-belletristic domain (from the categories of applied science, applied engineering, scholarly works, history, travel, how-to, self care, health, cooking, etc.), as well as quality works in a belletristic domain (novels of adventure, mystery, occult, science fiction, etc.). The English in which the proposed material is edited should show a very high level of fluency, close to that of a native speaker, without misinterpreted or unnatural expressions, taking into account that the target audience is comprised of native English-speaking readers. Materials that are acceptable from a subject and content point of view, but which do not meet the English proficiency criterion, may be published only after a native English correction; in such a case, the author assumes the cost of this correction.

   Benefits
   The author rights paid by Infarom for the titles published through this project are 8% (gross) of the list price of the books sold (for both ebook and classical editions). Translators hold a co-author status for their published translations, receiving the entire 8% author rights. Authors/co-authors will enrich their own publication portfolios and will benefit from the wide exposure offered by the international distribution system. Depending on their additional specialties and qualifications, authors/co-authors can participate in the publisher's future publishing projects and may be asked for editorial collaborations paid per work (corrections, translations, compositions).

   How to apply
   Authors/translators who apply for this project must register as authors using the registration form on the Submission page. On this form, in the Biography field, paste your resumé. Alternatively, you may e-mail it as an attachment to with "resumé" in the subject line, after your author registration. On the next form, include the data about the proposed material. In the field Other comments on your material, mention "Project of free publishing for English titles." In the Content description field, provide a detailed description of the work - its subject (including a brief narrative description), content, structure, and style - as well as other personal comments that you consider useful for evaluation.

   Recommendations
   ● Before starting a translation work, ensure yourself that it can be published, researching carefully its author rights belonging to the public domain.
   ● Infarom does not make evaluations of the market potential of proposed titles before publishing. Do not send requests for evaluation or prediction concerning the title you intend to publish. Only when the title is active on the market will we know about its potential. Both the authors, through their creation and editing work, and the publisher, through undertaking the publication process and its expenses, assume jointly the risks inherent in this publishing project.
   ● Before starting a translation work, take into consideration the compatibility of subject and content with the target of the English edition (English speakers, preponderantly from US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand). Consider the universality of the subject and the cultural, social, and political differences between the target of the original edition and the target of the English edition.
   ● Respect the technical specifications from your first submission of the proposed material, in order to save time and maintain an optimal flow of the editing/publishing process.
   ● During your work of editing your creation/translation, regularly perform your own manual correction by re-reading the text at frequent intervals, and then performing a final read-through and correction of the entire work. Do not rely exclusively on the automatic correction of the software editor.
